Check the performance characteristics of axial plunger pump
Axial plunger pump is generally composed of cylinder body, oil distribution plate, plunger and inclined plate. There are several plunger inside the cylinder, and the plunger is arranged in axial direction, that is, the center line of the plunger is parallel to the axis of the transmission shaft, so it is called axial plunger pump. But it is different from reciprocating plunger pump, because its plunger not only in the pump cylinder reciprocating movement, but also plunger and pump cylinder relative to the rotary disk. The plunger contacts the disk with a ball end. There are high and low pressure crescent grooves on the oil distribution plate, which are separated from each other by partition wall, with a certain sealing, and they are connected with the oil inlet and oil outlet of the pump respectively. There is an Angle of inclination between the axis of the clinker and the axis of the cylinder.
By changing the Angle of the inclined element, the stroke length of the plunger in the pump cylinder can be changed, and the flow rate of the pump can be changed. Fixed Angle of tilt is called the quantitative pump, tilt Angle can change is called variable pump.
Axial plunger pump according to the different inclined components, there are two kinds of inclined disk type and inclined shaft type.
The tilting disc is a rotating cylinder with an inclined Angle, which causes the plunger to move back and forth in the pump cylinder. The shaft axis of the drive shaft is consistent with that of the cylinder. This kind of structure is relatively simple, the rotating speed is higher, but the working condition request is high, the plunger end and the inclined disk contact part is usually the weak link. The diagonal axis is consistent with the transmission axis. It is due to the plunger cylinder body tilts an Angle relative to the shaft to make the plunger reciprocate. Flow control depends on the Angle of swing plunger cylinder, so some are also known as pendulum cylinder. Compared with tilting plate, it works reliably and has large flow rate, but has complex structure.
Compared with the radial plunger pump, the axial plunger pump has a high discharge pressure. Generally, it can work within the range of 20 ~ 50MPa with high efficiency. The radial size is small, the structure is compact, the volume is small and the weight is light. But the structure is more complex than the radial plunger pump, processing and manufacturing high requirements, more expensive.
Axial plunger pumps are commonly used in hydraulic transmission systems of machine tools, metallurgy, forging, mining and lifting machinery, and are particularly widely used in high-power hydraulic transmission systems. In order to improve the efficiency, gear pump or slide pump is usually used as the auxiliary oil pump in the application, to provide oil, make up for leakage and maintain a certain pressure in the oil.
